Smart Light Manager (SLM)

- Wired device with the option of wireless via network/power connection
- Has a built in lighting system that uses a buildings existing lighting infrastructure to power itself, thus reducing the need to add any further infrastructure.
- The device creates a backbone to enable a mesh wireless coverage across the building, similarly to the multisense in a non intrusive manner. This allows you to add additional technologies to the same core network to future proof the building.
- Every light manager in a building has the ability to become its own gateway for the building, which provides benefits if you wanted to achieve a specific output within an area of the building (i.e. wanting to track beds / assets on one floor of a hospital, whilst assessing the general energy and associated building plant consumption across the whole hospital in parallel)
- Has a Modular design which allows the introduction of ad on boards to extend the functionality; either via a multitude of gateways in one device, or a platform for other wireless devices to feed off. This reduces the need for further expense technology introductions (and associated capital), as the device itself can be adapted to introduce a new layer within its casing.
- Ad on examples include wireless technologies such as Zigbee & Enocean alongside wired technologies such as dali. We continually review the market to ensure the most up to date ad ons are considered as part of our future proofing mantra.
- Compared to other wired solutions in the market whereby if an element faults - it breaks the circuit and requires costly / intrusive access, repair and / or replace process; the self meshing / self healing element of the SLM enables the network to continue working, as the mesh will repair itself to keep a full circuit.
- Updates are sent to a gateway on a millisecond basis, which is then controlled via the z3ro platform configuration, to reduce costs linked to unnecessary data packages.
- Core benefit is the enabler of a site wide infrastructure via non intrusive sensors (usually hidden within the ceiling as best practice), which can scale to consolidate multiple operational service requirements via one device
- From a commercial perspective, the introduction of this gateway as a capital project (which can then be amortised), reduces a multitude of operational expenses via a single source of remote control / early intervention.
- The product can either be incorporated as a stand alone solution, or integrated with the broader Smart product suite via wireless nodes as a hardware as a service (HaaS) monthly package dependant on the desired outcomes
